The Virginia Department of Transportation, an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia, is soliciting bids from qualified firms to furnish and deliver one (1) lift truck (forklift) per the specifications herein for the Bristol District. Equivalency: The Commonwealth reserves all rights to determine the equivalency of any substituted product. All bidders proposing an equivalent item shall supply sales sheets or other manufacturer supplied documents to allow the Commonwealth to determine equivalency. The forklift shall meet the following requirements: • Shall have a single speed powershift transmission • Shall have a presence detection system • Engine shall be 2.5L 4 cylinder gas and LPG engine or equivalent • Mast shall be 188” MFH/84.5” OAL/36” FFH triplex, or standard for the model requested • Shall have a 39.5” wide ITA Class II hang-on side-shifter • Forks shall be 1.6” x 3.9” x 48” hook type – pallet • Shall have solid pneumatic single drive and steer tires • Shall have a full suspension vinyl seat • Shall have two forward LED working lights on OHG • Shall have rear LED stop/tail/back-up combination lights
