A. Services to facilitate outgoing loans and returns to and from the art bank: a. Maintain a database of works in the art bank collection and loan agreements. b. Handle, pack and/or crate art for shipment or delivery to state offices, including associated state side travel. c. Develop and maintain systems to track artwork, artists and loan status. d. Conducting site visits for artwork installation or delivery as needed at the discretion of the Art Bank Manager e. Oversee the contractor selected to digitize the collection and shift to online access B. Services to support conservation and appropriate policies governing care of art works within the art bank: a. Continuous assessment of the condition of art bank pieces. b. Make arrangements for display mounts, framing, repair and conservation services for new or damaged artworks. c. Work with Visual Art Committee and ASCA staff on acquisitions and/or deaccessions and policy development for the ACAB collection. d. Preparation of contracts for new acquisitions and notifications for deaccession processes. C. Communication of progress, challenges and needs to ASCA staff, Visual Art Committee and other stakeholders. This shall include, but is not limited to: a. Maintenance of program supplies and materials as appropriate within ASCA’s budget and in consultation with ASCA staff. b. Assisting in promotion of The Alaska Contemporary Art Bank collection and services. c. Reports and recommendations to ASCA Executive Director for any damaged artwork that may need immediate attention especially those with historical, cultural and archaeological significance to the state. d. Quarterly reporting to the ASCA Executive Director on work within the scope defined, above, for the purpose of updating the Council Trustees on art bank activities.
