The Department of Public Safety (DPS), Division of Alaska Wildlife Troopers, is soliciting proposals for Marine Design, Naval Architecture, and Project Management servicesfor the construction of a large class patrol vessel. Project management will include construction bid support, construction support services, and post delivery services that require ongoing work with DPS staff and the selected construction contractor. The types of staff within DPS includes the commissioned division director and deputy director, as well as the vessel section supervisor and other staff deemed pertinent to the project. Project Goal / Requested Scope of Services: The goal of this project is to professionally design and engineer, from initial concept through production of construction drawings, a replacement for the PV Enforcer for use in DPS operations. Further, the goal will be to effectively manage the project through construction and delivery. These design and management services will be utilized to develop an initial design concept for a patrol vessel. Once the initial design concept is approved by the state, the contractor shall fully design and engineer the vessel and develop full construction documents. The contractor shall provide advisory bid support to DPS as a construction contractor is selected. The design and management contractor will be required to provide project oversight of the construction contractor during the build process. The project will be complete when the vessel has been constructed and the delivery and post-delivery process has been accomplished to a high degree of satisfaction
