• Remove and dispose of existing concrete slab. o *Note* There are plumbing and electrical lines encased in the existing slab that will continue to feed service to the compactor site. • Furnish and install concrete slab that is approximately 80’ x 33’ by 6” thick. o Contractor shall be responsible for all site prep, grading, backfill, etc. prior to pouring new slab. o Slab shall be reinforced with steel rebar. o Concrete shall be a minimum of 5,000 psi. • Ensure pitch of new slab is adequate to accommodate storm water runoff. • Contractor shall remove existing stationary compactor and inspect the drain underneath the stationary compactor and make repairs as necessary, such as forming and pouring a new drain box. o Contractor shall replace stationary compactor in its original position upon project completion. • Contractor shall inspect the drainpipe extending from the drain underneath the stationary compactor over to the septic tank and repair as necessary. o Contractor may recommend replacement of the existing drainpipe if it cannot be repaired.
