Contractor shall clean carpeted area(s) specified by the Ordering Officer, including spot cleaning to remove stains, shampoo, and dry the carpet clean. a. Carpet cleaning methods/options shall include but not be limited toi. Hot Water Extraction (Deep cleaning): vendor must use a WMATA approved cleaning chemical to extract the water, chemical, dirt and debris. ii. Shampooing (Deep Cleaning): Vendor must use a WMATA approved shampoo and rinse and dry the carpet properly. b. Timeframes and work specifications will be provided by the Ordering Officer and may vary with each task/service requested. The COTR will notify the contractor of what shift he will be required to perform the task/service. c. Task/Service requests will be made via email, on an as needed basis, and contractor is required to acknowledge the request within twenty-four (24) hours. The evaluation, quote and scheduling shall be completed within seventy-two (72) hours from acknowledgment of request. When required, the COTR will schedule a point of contact (POC) for the evaluation phase and provide POC contact information via email. The quote shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) for review and approval. The COTR will provide the notice to proceed (NTP) via email.
