It is the intent of this Invitation to obtain bids for the CITYWIDE EXTERIOR DOOR REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT, as outlined in the Scope of Work. You are requested to submit your bid on the enclosed Bid submittal Sheet and return the entire package to Alissa Guarascio, Buyer, City of Wilmington, 929 N. Front St., 10th Floor, Wilmington, North Carolina 28401-1810. Proposals must be received no later than Tuesday, February 04, 2025 @ 3:00 p.m. 1. Remove and replace existing exterior doors and frames. 2. Remove and reinstall all door handsets and locking devices. o This will be an incidental cost added to the installation price. 3. Fill door frames with grout/cement as indicated. 4. All doors must have Polystyrene cores for thermal performance or an approved equivalent. 5. Alternate #1: Provide cost to properly prepare and paint doors and frames to match the existing exterior paint scheme. o One primer coat and two finish coats. o Paint to be Sherwin Williams – Pro-Acrylic oil base, or equivalent approved by the Project Manager. o Color as specified under Alternate #1. 6. Maintain a clean job site and dispose of debris daily. 7. The contractor is responsible for any building damage caused during demolition or installation and must restore the building to its original condition. 8. The contractor shall repair any plaster, drywall, Stucco, cinder blocks, or flooring damaged by demolition and/ or installation of the doors/door frames. 9. The contractor is responsible for all materials, equipment, delivery, storage, and handling. 10. The contractor is responsible for the verification of all existing conditions and dimensions before bidding. (*Must attend Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting- ) 11. The contractor shall provide a one (1) year minimal material manufacturer’s warranty following the completion of the project. 12. The Contractor shall provide a one (1) year minimal workmanship warranty following completion of the project.
