The City of Madison Traffic Engineering is seeking quotes for Morris Rings and Saddles. Please see Attachment A Standard drawing 1A and Attachment B Standard Drawing 1B, as well as the descriptions below. 2 Hole Sign Connector (Morris Ring) See Attachment A –Standard Drawing 1A. • 2-1/2” schedule 40 black pipe, pipe seam to be machined smooth with inside of pipe as necessary. • Drill and tap 3/8” – 16 thread through 2 places 180 degrees apart centered top to bottom with 1/16” chamfer. • All parts to be burr free. • All parts should be plated with clear zinc plating. Plating to be done after machining. • Total Morris rings to be quoted – 2000 each. Sign Connector (Saddle) See Attachment B - Standard Drawing 1B. • 1/8” x 1” hot rolled steel bar bent on either end with 0.13” inside radius. • Punch 13/32” hole through centered side to side and top to bottom. • All parts to be burr free. • All parts should be plated with clear zinc plating. Plating to be done after machining. • Total saddles to be quoted – 2000 each.
