Sole Source Justification: The simulator from Simulator Solutions has the following unique features and specs: o Patented pneumatic movement replicating ‘over road’ conditions during instructional simulations and assessment in a rear-cab simulator rather than an actual ambulance. o Insulated 2" Tubular Steel Construction. o Authentic double hinged rear doors like a real ambulance. o Interior and exterior realistic feature package options that include; IV hangars, bins, cabinetry, outlets, audio visual, safety gear and a choice of external livery. o On-Site simulator modification ability to work with available space (Our Lehi facility has structural beams that the simulator will have to be designed around without functional compromise). The UVU Paramedic department is striving to develop a simulation lab experience that emulates a real ambulance rear compartment without compromising functionality, instruction or assessment ability. A wellconstructed simulator will allow students to more readily immerse themselves in authentic scenario based learning experience. The unique features available in the simulator available from Simulator Solutions will allow the Paramedic program provide real-world training to its students.
