Maintenance Scope of Work: Wastewater Treatment Plant: The operator shall be required to perform the following inspections, service, and record all activity on an operator’s log on a daily basis and in accordance with the Operation and Maintenance Manual and Exhibits attached to this solicitation. The WWTP operators shall follow the Operation and Maintenance Manual attached to this solicitation, including providing all required treatment chemicals as needed, for a period of 1 year. Operator’s Log: • A log shall be kept showing all dates and times inspection and maintenance work are performed including a description of all activities performed. • The Operator’s Log shall be submitted to the Engineer at the end of every month. General Maintenance and Testing: • The operator shall visually inspect all mechanical components and process controls daily for proper operation, following the manufacturer’s O & M manuals for proper maintenance procedures and intervals. Daily inspections shall be required. • Weekly testing of pH, settleability, and dissolved oxygen. • Testing once per month of Biochemical Oxygen Demand and Total Suspended Solids. Testing shall be done by a certified laboratory, the results of which shall be submitted monthly to DOBOR and Department of Health, Wastewater Branch. • The plant shall be hosed down and kept clean to prevent odors. -2- • The mechanical components of all motors, pumps, and blowers shall be lubricated and maintained, and filters cleaned/changed as per the manufacturer’s specifications/recommendations. • The bid shall include supplying a dumpster or other covered containter to catch screenings from the influent screen, and having the dumpster/containter emptied weekly. • Weed control inside wastewater treatment plant fencing
