PS4, a duplex station, discharge piping within the wetwell is in poor condition and has experienced recent failure, necessitating an emergency repair and now complete replacement. The base scope of work is to replace the 6” ductile iron piping within the wetwell and connect to the existing pump base and thru-wall piping to create a functioning pumping system. The pumps, wetwell, electrical rack, motors, electrical components, and above ground piping are to remain in their existing condition. The base scope includes the following tasks: 1. Place the pump station on bypass. 2. Remove the existing hatch lid only, the existing hatch frame is to remain in place. 3. Remove pumps, rails, and appurtenances as necessary to perform the work; remove piping to be replaced. The pump base, pumps, and guide rails shall be reused. 4. Clean & disinfect wetwell. 5. Furnish and install new discharge pipes, Class 52 flanged ductile iron pipe with interior coating Tnemec Series 431 Perma Shield Ceramic Epoxy and new Class 52 bends and fittings with interior coating Tnemec Series 431 Perma Shield Ceramic Epoxy. The new pipe shall connect the existing pump base to the existing thru-wall discharge piping using new 6” flange 90d bends.
