This section outlines the scope of work included in the project. Refer to the appropriate drawings and specification sections for further information about installation, preparation methods and components to be provided. The contractor is responsible for including all means and methods necessary to complete this portion of the project. The Contract Documents, otherwise referred to as drawings, shall serve as a part of this scope of work showing more detail on the intent of this project. The Contractor is responsible for including all means and methods necessary to complete this project and to field verify existing conditions and dimensions. In general, the work includes, but is not limited to, the following items: DEMO PLAN - see new drawings for keynotes. 1. Before construction DPS will remove all personal items from casework and room, including disconnecting and moving phones and computers and bring back after construction. 2. Remove existing casework, countertops, back splash, wire mold/raceway, under-counter light and switch, utility chases, epoxy floor finish and rubber wall bases. Prep epoxy flooring for new. 3. Existing utility chases, wire mold/raceway, electrical/data outlets, undercounter light and switch, may be re-used and re-routed to new layout if contractor inspects to ensure they are in good working order and in like-new condition. If not, remove and install new. Match existing. 4. Remove existing sink and associated plumbing, eyewash, and drying rack. Remove plumbing lines back to nearest building riser and cap. 5. Remove soap dispenser and paper towel dispenser. Save for re-installation. 6. Remove drywall as needed to provide blocking for new casework. 7. Do not remove existing fume hood (and associated utilities and accessories), ceiling and door. NEW FLOOR PLAN AND INTERIOR ELEVATIONS-see new drawings for keynotes. 10. Field verify existing conditions and dimensions. Room is approximately 16' x 12' with 9' ceiling. 11. See existing drawings for lab casework, finishes and typical details. Where existing drawings conflict with field conditions, match field conditions. 12. Install new casework, back splash, wire mold/raceway, under-counter light per drawings A2.0 - A-2.4. Match existing. See existing drawings for products and finishes. 13. Install new wire mold/raceway with (2) duplex electrical and (1) duplex data outlet for new workstation. 14. Install new wire mold/raceway with (2) duplex electrical and (1) duplex data outlet per workstation. See demo note 3 for additional information. 15. For data, provide junction box and pathway to data outlets. DPS IT will provide/route cabling. 16. Install new undercounter lighting. Match existing. See demo note 3 for additional information. 17. Relocate existing thermostat closer to light switch. 18. Provide blocking at areas receiving casework. 19. Patch, repair and drywall. Paint hollow metal door frame. 20. Install new epoxy flooring. Match existing. Provide up to (3) 1' x1' mock-ups. DPS to select closest match to existing. Provide transition strip at old to new epoxy floor transition. Install rubber wall base. Match existing. 21. Install drill-free adj. stainless steel or brushed nickel coat hanger rod for 30" opening, 6'-0" a.f.f. 22. Repair existing utility chase behind casework in damaged during demolition. 23. Ensure all applicable codes and ADA/ADMG/TAS regulations are followed. 24. Provide a minimum one (1) year Warranty on all installation work. 25. Provide turnkey project as indicated on the drawings and as required for complete project.
