The Utah General Financial Literacy (GFL) program as enacted by the Legislature of the State of Utah under Utah Code Sections 53A-13-108 and 53A-13-110 has completed initial phases of implementation, including alpha assessment development, delivery and reporting. These phases were implemented under contract 156284. It is our continued obligation to facilitate a vendor to provide the GFL exam to LEAs and report results to the legislature annually. See the SOW for additional information about the procurement. The contract allowed for five one-year renewal options. It is in USBE's best interest to exercise all renewal options upfront to minimize the annual work of USBE staff to renew the contract annually. In addition, this option secures pricing from potential increase, allows LEAs to utilize an established process which does not require additional training in the middle of a school year.
