Specifications include, but are not limited to: This RFQ seeks GeoServer maintenance and support services. Since 2005 MassGIS has offered GeoServer-based web mapping services. Traffic to the GeoServer web mapping services from MassMapper currently account for 50% of all requests. The GeoServer services are always monitored by a member of the MassGIS staff using various tools during business hours. Planned maintenance is handled by MassGIS staff and unplanned maintenance is handled first by appropriate Database, Linux or Windows teams or MassGIS if necessary. Unplanned system down-time is extremely rare. Maintaining the services involves ensuring uninterrupted day-to-day operations of the web mapping services, investigating specific problems that arise with the components, designing possible solutions, and testing and implementing those solutions working together with other EOTSS staff as appropriate. Problems may include tuning performance, diagnosing connectivity issues, determining the impact of underlying component upgrades or changes (such as the operating systems, monitoring, network, storage and database which are maintained by non-MassGIS staff elsewhere in the EOTSS agency) on the services system and addressing those impacts.
