The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is seeking a supplier to provide victims of traumatic events in Multnomah County, timely and effective emotional and practical assistance. Services to Be Provided; 1. Volunteer Recruitment and Training o Recruit and train a diverse group of volunteers to respond to crisis incidents. o Conduct a minimum of two (2) training academies annually to ensure volunteers are adequately prepared. 2. Crisis Response o Ensure trained volunteers are available 24/7 to respond to crisis incidents, with an average response time of 30 minutes or less. o Provide on-scene emotional and practical support, assist with necessary communications (e.g., contacting family or friends), identify clean-up services, and make referrals for follow-up services. 3. Supervision and Support o Offer ongoing supervision for volunteers before, during, and after incident responses to ensure effective support. o Maintain a 24-hour on-call system, providing the County with contact details for volunteers and supervisors, including alternate contact numbers. 4. Resource Provision o Develop and provide a comprehensive resource guide to assist victims and survivors in locating necessary services and support. 5. Diversity and Inclusion o Ensure a workforce that reflects the community's diversity, including age, gender identity, nationality, and language diversity.
