The project consists of one bioretention system, bioswale, and additional dry detention storage. The site collects stormwater runoff from the adjacent neighborhood, with a contributing drainage area of approximately 4.2 acres. During rain events, inflow from the curb inlet and park runoff are detained in the bioretention system. The underdrain conveys filtered stormwater through the BSM through the outlet control structure (Agri-drain) where excess stormwater can enter when ponding depth is in excess of 12”. The system drains within 24 hours. In extreme precipitation events where the outlet structure capacity is exceeded, overflow is directed to the existing drainage ditch along the west side of the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. The system is designed to store approximately 1.1 acrefeet.
