The work covered by this specification consists of routine structural and vegetation maintenance for the City of Omaha’s (City) Hitchcock Park Green Infrastructure Facility (Hitchcock Park GI). It was constructed as part of the City of Omaha’s (City) OPW 52257 and 52881 42nd and Q St Sewer Separation and Green Infrastructure project in 2018. The project consists of three bioretention systems connected in series along the west side of 42nd Street. The site collects stormwater runoff from the adjacent neighborhoods east of the park, with a contributing drainage area of approximately 16 acres. The three upstream manholes leading to it have SAFL baffles, which captures debris and sediment prior to entering the bioretention.
