General Requirements: The contractor shall collect wastewater samples for the testing of opioids in a selection of Missouri high schools for the Department of Health and Senior Services (hereinafter referred to as “state agency”) in accordance with the provisions and requirements stated herein and to the sole satisfaction of the state agency. The contractor shall identify and enroll six (6) to twelve (12) Missouri high schools, located in urban, suburban, and rural areas to collect weekly wastewater samples over a minimum of four (4) weeks to test for opioids, including fentanyl and its metabolites, in support of fentanyl testing in schools’ legislation. The contractor shall understand and agree that the number of weeks to collect wastewater samples shall be mutually agreed upon by the contractor and state agency, which may exceed the minimum four (4) weeks. The contractor shall understand and agree that the state agency may request additional Missouri high schools to be identified and enrolled, as determined by program success and funding availability. The contractor shall transport wastewater samples from the enrolled schools to the University of Missouri, School of Agroforestry for testing, located at: MU Center for Agroforestry 302 ABNR Building 1111 Rollins Street Columbia, MO 65211
