Window casing, apron, and sill will be restored by scraping, sanding, and general cleaning. General cleaning and touch up work are defined as cleaning surfaces and touching up scratched or marred surfaced with a color and finish sheen to match newly restored areas as seen in Exhibit C. Cleaning process cannot mar or alter the existing finish condition. Any casing or trim that show wear or loose pieces should be included for restoration where necessary. These areas will be remediated to reflect original historic condition. Wood restoration color/sheen will replicate that of the Council Chamber entry door and interior windows and surround. See Exhibit C. Additional work may include, but is not limited to, the removal of damaged finish and spot stains, scuff sand to feather back effected areas and apply stain and topcoat to minimize effected areas. All finishes must maintain the historical integrity of the existing wood and wood finish. Some areas may require a complete strip and refinish. The Contractor must provide all the equipment, tools and sundries required for the work to be performed. This may include, but not limited to ladders, wheeled staging or scaffolding and any tools, equipment, and all supplies to adequately perform the contracted work and meet all terms of the service agreement. Protect finished surfaces, flooring, and furnishings in areas where work is to be completed with clean drop cloths and suitable masking that will not damage surrounding areas. The work will be performed over several business days, the Contractor must clear the area at the end of each day, unless coordinated and communicated to and approved by the County prior to work commencing. All material, tools, equipment must be removed from site once project is completed, the site will be left cleaned and reading for public use.
