1. Equipment Inspection: Prior to bidding, it is recommended that the Offeror visit each of the school sites and familiarize himself with the equipment to be maintained. Should any of the water chemical treatment equipment require repairs to place it in acceptable condition, HCS should be made aware and once made that determination HCS shall return the equipment to proper operation at the District’s expense. Offeror shall contact HCS Facilities Department for access to inspect any school or equipment. 2. Responsibilities of Servicing Contractor: The Servicing Contractor shall perform the maintenance as herein specified by trained, skilled, professional craftsmen who wear clean and neat company uniforms and who are familiar with inspection, maintenance and repair procedures as identified in the specifications listed herein. A. Contractor must be responsible for the acts of its employees and agents and agrees to take all necessary measures to prevent injury and loss to persons present on HCS premises. B. Contractor must be responsible for all damages to persons or property caused by Contractor or any of Its agents or employees. C. Contractor is required to notify HCS Representative 24 hours in advance prior to arriving at any school location to perform service .Contractor is presumed to be liable for any unknown damages to associated items requiring services without HCS representative accompanying during their visit .Contractor must promptly repair any damage that it, its employees or agentsmay cause to HCS’ premises or equipment; on Contractor’s failure to do so, HCS may repair such damage and Contractor shall reimburse HCS promptly for the cost of the repair. D. Contractor must comply with all applicable HCS policies, i.e. No Smoking, Weapons, Parking, Landscaping, etc. See VII TERM AND CONDITIONS-B. SPECIAL section. E. Contractor must adhere to standards as regulated by OSHA, EPA, SC DHEC, and other regulatory agencies. F. Contractor shall provide in the bid package submitted written certification that all the chemicals to be used on HCS property for the water treatment program shall not endanger the health or safety of any persons coming in contact with the materials and shall not damage any personal or real property as properly used. G. A complete list of service personnel that will be assigned to HCS shall be provided in the Bid submittal, include qualifications, experience, and length of service with the Contractor. H. Contractor must be required to remove and properly dispose of any old chemicals or chemical containers at the time of contract award. I. Contractor must maintain a complete ongoing history of each school at Contractor’s office for the life of the contract. The District shall have access to this history at any time without additional cost.
