Evaluation of renewable sources to power MDT owned buildings and facilities. Evaluate the cost effectiveness for MDT to invest in renewable energy sources to offset MDT energy use and to increase efficiency. Conceptualize and identify potential energy cost saving measures using alternative energy generation to reduce MDT energy costs. Potential renewable sources will include: Photovoltaic (PV) systems Wind turbines Battery energy storage (BESS) systems HVAC electrification retrofits and efficiency measures for mid-size commercial buildings and maintenance buildings, (i.e. air-source and ground source heat pumps, geothermal) Innovative renewable energy technologies and equipment not specified under the task section.
