1.0 Scope 1.1 The Citadel is modernizing the traction elevator located in Byrd Hall building. 1.2 The elevator should be modernized with new, non-proprietary equipment to manage the operation between Four (4) floors with speeds of 100 FPM with a carrying capacity of 4000 pounds and the travel distance of approximately 40 Ft. verification of distance in travel must be accomplished by the bidder. 1.3 Items to be modernized: Car, Motor, Control systems, fixtures, signal features, Doors, door operator’s, safety limit devices and wiring. 1.4 Bidder must also build an enclosure for a mechanical room, install access door, ventilation openings and temperature control to meet or exceed current standards. 1.5 This bid will be a “Turnkey” modernization.
