The scope of the contract is to install fiber optic cabling and provide service at Northport Shore and its dedicated areas, described in detail below. The work requested includes new fiber construction and installation of fiber optic network cabling. Construction will include installation of fiber optic cabling in existing PVC duct banks and polymer concrete duct boxes. Services include labor, parts, materials, and supplies. The scope of work should be complete by July 1, 2025. Each respondent should provide a recommendation of associated fiber speed and justification for that recommendation based on each of the areas’ footprints described below as well as associated costs and contract length. 1. Northport Shore – River Run Park (Fiber/Telecommunications/Wi-fi - 1 Gigabyte minimum) o Nine tournament fields o Two stadiums o Two concessions/restrooms 2. Northport Shore – Championship Hotel (Fiber/Telecommunications - Provide service to accommodate) o 120 hotel rooms o 30 condos o Meeting space 3. Northport Shore – Convention Center Hotel (Fiber/Telecommunications - Provide service to accommodate) o 100+ hotel rooms o Multi-purpose convention space for trade shows, athletic events, etc. 4. Northport Shore – Indoor Athletic Facility (Fiber/Telecommunications - Provide service to accommodate) o 85,000 square feet that includes athletic facility, meeting space, restaurant, and retail 5. Northport Shore – Warrior Baseball/Northport Fast Pitch Park (Fiber, Telecommunication, Wi-fi - 1 Gigabyte minimum) o Seven fields for local play o Concessions/Restrooms 6. Northport Shore – Commercial/Retail along Black Warrior River (Fiber/Telecommunications – Provide service to accommodate) o Four buildings; 7,500 square feet each o Six to Eight Tenants 7. Northport Shore – Sporting Venue (Fiber/Telecommunications/Wi-fi – 1 Gigabyte minimum) o Multi-purpose sporting venue for volleyball, pickleball, basketball, and cheer The City of Northport has installed two 4” SCH 40 PVC conduits north/south along the roadway network with stubouts to the two entrances of River Run Park and stubouts to the future Championship Hotel, Convention Center Hotel, Commercial/Retail along Black Warrior River, Indoor Sports Facility/Restaurant/Retail, and future connectivity to existing Warrior and Kentuck Parks. Polymer concrete pull boxes (4’x6’x4’) are installed following the duct bank with the power company providing access to the all the amenities noted above. The installed infrastructure can be reviewed on River Run Park Packages No. 1 and No. 4 Utility Conduit design plans.
