This section covers the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, transportation, supplies, and supervision required to remove dead snags from Job Sites 1-5 (see attached Map 2). All snags removed will be cut within 4 inches of the ground. Care shall be used to not disturb soils and groundcover vegetation. 4.2. Jobs 1 – 5 will require the felling and chipping/grinding and felling in place and sectioning the snag by cutting the snag into 3 – 4 feet sections or removal and legal off-site disposal of all standing snags (dead trees). Snag removal will occur within numbered job site polygons (see attached Map 2). If there are any trees over the 20-inch DBH size, the contractor will drop them, cut them up into 3’ – 4’ sections, and scatter them on the job site.
