The successful contractor(s) will provide professional technical assistance opportunities/support to Delaware’s community and municipal water systems to mitigate issues faced in maintaining standards of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA). Some of the areas that will require technical assistance from the approved vendor(s) are as follows: Initiatives to educate water operators on Per and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) and emerging contaminants. Generate public awareness and outreach on public health water issues. Emergency planning assistance for water systems. Workforce development through water certification, endorsement and sub endorsement classes regardless of number of students enrolled. Education and outreach on new initiatives Assist water systems with maintaining regulatory compliance with the SDWA. Assistance with developing infrastructure needs. Education on building technical, managerial and financial capacity, including grant application assistance. Support and educate community and municipal water systems on cybersecurity initiatives.
