San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC), Public Health, Policy & Planning (PHPP), and Family Health Services (FHS) are soliciting services of a qualified company to provide general courier services. The required frequency for such services is Monday through Friday unless otherwise stated. The vendor must be able to transport lab specimens and other materials such as monetary deposits, affiliated clinics, and/or other listed entities, and vendor must not contaminate or otherwise damage such samples and materials. The County’s expectation is that there will be 100% coverage of all routes for each component, including requiring back-up coverage plans in the event of staff vacancies or vehicle downtime. The vendor shall also be able to provide on-demand delivery services as needed. The vendor will need to respond to on demand requests received by phone or email within the same business day if received before 3PM PT.
