Parking Reservation System In 2024, parking reservations were required from June 15 to September 15, and visitors could purchase a full day (5:00 AM to 3:00 PM) or short-term (4 hours) reservation up to two weeks in advance. Full day parking was $30 on non-peak days (Monday – Thursday) and $55 on peak days (Friday – Sunday, plus holidays), and short-term parking was $10 for non-peak days and $20 for peak days. The Quandary Peak Trailhead parking lot has a capacity of roughly 70 spaces. After 3:00 PM, parking was free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. To discourage overnight parking, parking was not allowed between 12:00 AM and 4:00 AM. From June 15 to September 15, visitors purchased a total of 5,874 total parking reservations. Of the total parking reservations in 2024, visitors reserved 4,127 full day reservations and 1,746 short-term reservations. July continued to be the most popular month to reserve a parking space, followed by August, then September. Use was evenly distributed throughout the week, although Saturdays and Sundays continue to be the most popular days to reserve a parking spot. Parking lot utilization (reservations made compared to overall space availability) is estimated to be approximately 95% on most days. Shuttle Service In 2024, the contractor provided three shuttles (one 25-passenger van and two 14-passenger vans). From June 15- 30 and September 3-15, the contractor operated only two shuttles, and during peak season from July 1 to September 2, the contractor operated three shuttles. During peak season, two shuttles ran every 30 minutes from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM between the Breckenridge South Gondola Parking Garage (80 North Park Avenue) and the Quandary Peak Trailhead. A third shuttle ran every 30 minutes from 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM between Breckenridge and the Quandary Peak Trailhead, and then stayed on-site to travel to and from McCullough Gulch from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This third shuttle ran every 20 minutes once on-site. A round-trip ticket from Breckenridge to the Quandary Peak Trailhead was $7 per passenger and free for local residents with proof of residency. The McCullough Gulch shuttle service was included free of charge with the purchase of a parking reservation or shuttle payment.
