A. Free Public Swim: 1. Schedule: Daily open swim sessions for the public from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, from June 9, 2025, to August 15, 2025. 2. Staffing: Each location must be staffed with a minimum of 4 certified lifeguards and 1 on-site administrator during all operational hours. Staffing levels should be scalable to meet peak usage demands. The provider must outline a detailed plan for managing staffing during periods of increased attendance. 3. Attendance Tracking: Maintain hourly attendance logs to be submitted alongside invoices. 4. Water Testing: Conduct hourly water quality tests during all operational hours and notify the District immediately of any issues or irregularities in water quality. 5. Safety Measures: Enforce all posted pool rules, including prohibiting glass containers and ensuring a clean and safe environment. 6. Organization-Proposed Activities: Provide a description of any proposed programs, including a schedule (in calendar form), target audience, and expected outcomes. B. Free Swim Lessons (District Students Only, Foothill and Grant Union Only): 1. Schedule: Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. 2. Session Dates: • June 9–19, 2025 (excluding June 19) • June 30–July 10, 2025 (excluding July 4) • July 14–24, 2025 • July 28–August 7, 2025. 3. Responsibilities: • District will manage student sign-ups and provide rosters to the provider. • The provider will coordinate lessons, communicate directly with parents, and oversee the program’s day-to-day operation. • Provide certified instructors and ensure clear communication with families about schedules, safety protocols, and program updates. C. Lifeguard Training and Certification (District Students Only) 1. Provide free lifeguard training and certification programs to high school students within the District. This program shall be offered at Grant Union High School and Foothill High School in alignment with the summer program schedule. 2. The training program should include water safety, first aid, CPR certification, and any other requirements for lifeguard certification. 3. The provider must communicate the training schedule to the District. D. Operational Requirements: 1. A minimum of 4 certified lifeguards and 1 trained administrator must be present at all times during operational hours. 2. Lifeguards must hold current certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety). 3. Administrators must be trained in emergency protocols and facility management. 4. The District will provide pool maintenance, chemicals, utilities, and custodial services. 5. The provider must adhere to facility use regulations and maintain cleanliness during program operations.
