Saturated conditions are often a hinderance throughout the work. The City may require that the Contractor use low-impact equipment at some locations on an as-needed/pre-approved basis. i. Sediment controls must be employed to prevent sediment from leaving the work site and entering streets, storm drains, waterways, private property, etc. ii. Where listed in non-tidal permits, stream restriction dates (See Section 8.11, Special Terms and Conditions, Item Time-of-Year (TOY) Stream Restriction Dates) must be adhered to strictly. iii. Stormwater flow through work area(s) must be diverted so it remains clear after discharge from the work area. iv. Should pump-around measures be required, the pumping must not discharge sediment downstream. v. Tree protection and root pruning must be utilized to prevent damage to tee bark or shattering of roots.
