Truman seeks a single vendor to furnish one (1) backhoe loader. The equipment will be new and manufacturer’s standard model in current production; will comply with all performance specifications; and include all standard functions, features and accessories as advertised or otherwise represented by the vendor and/or manufacturer. While Truman anticipates it will purchase a single unit, Truman reserves the right to purchase any quantity it desires, or none at all. Truman prefers a cash purchase, and Truman will not consider equipment financing or a lease. 1. Engine: a. Four (4) cylinder, turbocharged diesel with a minimum 90 net horsepower at 2,200 revolutions per minute (RPM); b. Internal oil cooler; c. Non-ether based cold weather starting system; d. Liquid cooled engine; e. Self-adjusting belt tensioner; 2. Electrical: a. Twelve (12) volt electrical system; b. Minimum 120-amp alternator; c. Battery(s) with a minimum of 850 cranking amps; 3. Transmission: a. Fully synchronized; b. Multiple forward and reverse speeds; c. Conveniently located clutch disconnect button(s); Trade-In; Truman intends to exchange “trade-in” a 1998 Case 580 Super L series backhoe loader with 4866 service hours (serial number JJG0274472). The unit has a cab, four wheel drive, extendible hoe, and a 4-in-1 loader bucket. Vendor proposals should include a trade-in allowance for this unit.
