Vendor to supply pricing, lead-time, outline, and nameplate with the bid. 1.2 General 1.2.1 This specification covers the electrical, mechanical, and safety feature characteristics of outdoor, three phase / triple-single, vacuum, solid-dielectric reclosers. Due to present and increasing fault current levels, as well as environmental concerns, oil circuit reclosers are not acceptable. 1.3 Ratings 1.3.1 The reclosers furnished under this specification shall be designed, manufactured, and tested in accordance with IEEE Standard C37.60 (latest version). That standard shall be considered a part of this specification. 1.3.2 Maximum design voltage: 15.5 kV; nominal operating voltage: 12.5 kV. 1.3.3 Basic insulation level: 110 kV. 1.3.4 Continuous current rating: 560 A minimum. 1.3.5 Symmetric interrupting current: 12.5 kA. 1.4 Internal Construction 1.4.1 Reclosers shall be supplied with internal voltage sensors. 1.4.2 Mechanism A. The recloser mechanism shall consist of a dual-coil (bi-stable) magnetic actuator capable of fast opening and closing.. operations with no recharging delay.
