Accepting proposals from qualified organizations/firms to provide traffic safety workshops and education to K-12 grade age children and their parents, as part of its state-only grant funded Active Transportation Program (ATP) Date Street Improvements Project. This non-infrastructure (NI) component will focus on the education and encouragement of active transportation for four (4) different schools that will benefit from the infrastructure improvements. The four (4) schools are Date Elementary, Citrus Elementary, Fontana High, and Harry S. Truman Middle Schools. The City’s goal is to educate parents and students on traffic safety, while also promoting the use of alternative methods of transportation, such as walking and biking.
