The current needs include acquiring high-quality, evidenced based, math intervention resources to support supplemental (Tier 2) and intensive (Tier 3) support for students in grades K-9. Resources can be tangible or digital. Content should be aligned to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study with a specific focus on math domains and skills specific to: in-depth treat of whole numbers (K-9), computational fluency (K-9), in depth treatment of rational numbers (4-9), rational number reasoning (7-9), algebraic expressions and equations (7-9), and geometry (7-9). Desired content is systematic and follows a scope and sequence. Resources provided include but are not limited to tangible/virtual manipulatives, interactive games/activities, and instructional resources/lessons for educators to use in conjunction with digital content. There should be a diagnostic function within the resources to identify specific skill gaps. The desired resource should provide a personalized, learning pathway for students as well as a way for teachers to assign focus lessons on specific content. Lessons should promote growth and rigor. Provided the resource is digital, teachers should have access to a rich data dashboard with reporting capabilities on student learning and tracking of student completion and attentiveness. District personnel should have access to a reporting dashboard with analytics regarding usage at the teacher, school, and district level that is updated at a minimum frequency of monthly. JCPS uses ClassLink for Single-Sign-On(SSO) and rostering of student data, selected software as a service must support ClassLink integration for SSO and rostering of student and staff data. Professional development for teachers and district staff should be provided in a multitude of ways including synchronous and asynchronous. Professional development sessions should cover the use of the platform, reading reports, and best instructional practices. The desired company will work with district staff to personalize professional development to meet the needs of our initiatives and convey how the use of the platform can support those initiatives. There should be a clear line of contact between the company and the district for troubleshooting and logistical purposes.
