The Board of Converse County Commissioners (“County”) is seeking qualified respondent to provide overall project management, collaboration, and analysis to determine necessary safety and security improvements and other remedies for the Converse County Shooting Range Complex (“Complex”) to ensure the safety, security, and enjoyment of the public. The analysis will include itemized cost estimates, project timeline estimates, and environmental clearance (if applicable) for the Complex. The Complex includes the County Firing Range and the Douglas Trap Club and consists of approximately 120 acres located 4 miles south of Douglas, Wyoming, along CR1/Irvine Road, further described as: SHOOTING RANGE All that portion of the SW1/4 NW1/4 and NW1/4 SW1/4 of Section 34, Township 32 North, Range 71 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, Converse County, Wyoming, situated southwesterly of Converse County Road #1 (Irvine Road), together with parts of the E1/2 E1/2 SW1/4 SW/14 and NW1/4 SE1/4 SW/4 of said Section 34 and containing 63.1 acres, more or less. TRAP CLUB RANGE Part of the E1/2 E1/2 SW1/4 SW/14 and Part of SE1/4 SW1/4 of Section 34 situated southwesterly of Converse County Road #1 (Irvine Road), Township 32 North, Range 71 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, Converse County, Wyoming, and containing 27.0 acres, more or less. The Complex is located in “an eroded area and is quite removed from any developed area” and was created primarily as a space where the public could safely conduct shooting activities for recreation, youth competitive shooting, testing, practice, and trainings.
