As part of the Building Pathways to Success initiative to transform the Panther Quad-Hurt Park district and create a centralized hub that would encourage student engagement and strengthen GSU’s efforts to provide safe, inviting and comfortable spaces for the community, GSU is proposing a project that would enhance and activate the street level of the 100 Edgewood Avenue building and provide necessary infrastructure improvements to enable future development of the building. The improvements along the front of the building would include enclosing the colonnade for safety reasons and adding space that will provide student support, retail and social gathering space for the GSU community. The infrastructure improvements would include roofing, HVAC upgrades and plumbing upgrades, elevator modernization and fire alarm panel replacement.
