The scope of work for this program, shall consist of, but not be limited to, furnishing and installing (except as noted) all materials labor and equipment necessary to resurface or rehabilitate streets or roads as listed, including: utility cover adjustments: water gate box lowering and raising, tack coat, shim, and overlay; driveway preparation and lawn and driveway restoration; pavement removal, common excavation, aggregate base gravel; erosion and traffic control and cleanup. Vale Street, from Central Avenue to College Street: Street Scope: Lower and plate all manholes and catch basins, as well as lower all water gate boxes as needed prior to removing pavement. Remove all existing pavement from Central Avenue to College Street. Fine grade, adding shim gravel as needed. Repave, paving 19.0 mm HMA at 2”. Set utilities to grade. Grind butt joints as needed. Place 12.5mm HMA surface at 1.5”. Perform driveway preparation as needed. Perform lawn follow up as needed. Approximately 1325’ in length. Sidewalk Scope: Remove existing pavement and curb. Box cut 6”, and install 6” of MDOT Type A gravel on Northeast side of roadway. Install new slip-form concrete curb. Fine Grade sidewalks and driveways. Place 9.5 mm HMA at 2” in one lift, machine placed preferred. Install new detectible warning plates. Perform lawn repair as needed. Vale Street, from Sabattus Street to Armory Entrance: Sidewalk Scope: Install new sidewalk. Remove existing fence, and remove existing stumps. Remove existing concrete steps. Install new recycled concrete block retaining wall, burying bottom block 6”. Add Caps to top block. Install new cedar picket fence, at varying picket height, minimum of 4’ to maximum of 6’. Install new 5’ sidewalk along roadway on Northeast side of roadway, along side baseball field. Install 6” of MDOT Type A gravel, fine grade and pave with 2” pf 9.5 mm HMA in one lift, machine placed preferred. Perform lawn repair as needed.
