A. The project consists of the total replacement of all three (3) elevators to include all of the elevator machine room equipment, controllers, elevator cab interiors, elevator controls, hoistways, doors and door equipment, telecommunications equipment, and all of the associated components which are located in all three of the elevator pits. The Contractor shall bring the elevators, the elevator lobbies and the hoistways up to current codes and standards. The scope of work includes all mechanical, electrical and plumbing components to remedy any current deficiencies to support the overall project. B. To ensure that at least one functioning elevator is available for use in the parking garage at all times, and to ensure that the garage remains in compliance with the ADA, the Contractor will have the responsibility to develop the phasing plan in order to complete the elevator replacement project in two phases: i. Phase 1: This phase shall include the replacement of elevators #2 and #3 as noted on the drawings attached hereto. It will take place first in the construction schedule. During which time elevator #1 shall remain in full, normal operation.
