The City desires to contract services for the pick-up and legal disposal of approximately 19,600 passenger and 400 oversize truck tires annually. The bidder understands that the City does not control the scrap tire waste stream (i.e. fleet maintenance, right-of-way collection, illegal dump sites) so tires may or may not have rims. This fact shall be contemplated in unit price. The City will contact the vendor(s) on an as-needed basis to pick up tires. Vendor(s) shall pick up tires within five days of notification. 4.3 A trailer shall be provided by the successful contractor for the Dean Forest Road Landfill (53 foot closed trailer), Bacon Park (53 foot closed trailer), the Fleet Services facility located at 6900 Sallie Mood Drive (28 foot closed trailer and 48 foot open trailer when requested), and City Lot located at 1100 West Gwinnett Street (28 foot closed trailer). The trailer will be weighed at the contractor’s location and an electronic ticket will be provided to the City in which the City will pay by the ton for disposal of tires from the Landfill, Bacon Park and Fleet Services Department locations.
