• Roll-back curbs shall be constructed to match the existing curb. (each street will vary in design) • Each section to be replaced will be identified with paint • 4” minimum compacted crushed stone base over compacted earth before curbing is poured • Curbs must be constructed to promote positive water drainage associated with its location • Concrete mix shall meet the requirements for durability and strength for curbs. 3500 lb. concrete minimum mix • Light broom finish shall be applied during the finishing process • Crack control shall be sawed at intervals of 10 feet maximum and within 48 hours after placement • Joint to extend through curb and gutter front to back • All saw joints shall be 1/8” wide by 2” deep • After the concrete has set sufficiently, the forms shall be removed. The contractor shall backfill adjacent to the concrete with suitable material, compact it, and finish it adequately. • General specification detail is attached to this document
