The MaineDOT will provide the following: x Insurance x Fuel, oil and grease Equipment. The equipment specifications and terms are as follows: x All factory installed safety equipment shall be in place and in operational. x Equipment required to operate on public ways shall be legally registered for the duration of the rental. This includes the Contractor renewing the registration prior to expiration during the rental. Tracked Excavators – 7,000 -10,000 (Regions 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) x Excavators operating weight shall be not less than 7,000 pounds and not more than 10,000 pounds. x Each excavator shall come with a digging bucket. x Some excavators shall come with a digging bucket and a tilt swivel clean up bucket as requested by MaineDOT. x Excavators shall have a strobe light. x Excavators shall be equipped with street pads. x Excavators shall come with an identified, manufacturer approved lifting point. If the lifting point is located on the bucket, both buckets must be equipped. x Excavators furnished for Region 1 shall be no older than five years. Tracked Excavators – 10,000 -14,000 (Regions 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) x Excavators operating weight shall be not less than 10,000 pounds and not more than 14,000 pounds. x Each excavator shall come with a digging bucket. x Some excavators shall come with a digging bucket and a tilt swivel clean up bucket as requested by MaineDOT. x Excavators shall have a strobe light. x Excavators shall be equipped with street pads. x Excavators shall come with an identified, manufacturer approved lifting point. If the lifting point is located on the bucket, both buckets must be equipped. x Excavators furnished for Region 1 shall be no older than five years.
