This Request for Information (RFI) facilitates the effort made by the Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC) to gather information on the various jurisdictions in Colorado who are interested in hosting a Type 1 firefighting helicopter, its crew, and its support elements. The purpose of this RFI is to gather information from respondents relative to questions detailed within this RFI, Section 6, Requested Information. • Hangar size - Minimum 60 feet wide, 70 feet long and 20 feet tall. • Hangar door - must have a minimum clear space of 55 feet wide and 20 feet tall. • Exterior ramp space of 100’ x 100’, with appropriate surface to eliminate foreign objects and debris. • Office space - Minimum of 6 private offices with doors. Additional “cube” space for 4-6 employees. • Training area - Conference room / training area with seating for 20 people. • Kitchen / break room • Locker Rooms for separate genders, including 2 showers for each locker room. • Additional space to build a gender-neutral bathroom and locker room. • Hookups for washer and dryer • Maintenance area for aircraft, including parts storage. • Workout area, separate from hangar. • Exterior parking for 20 employee vehicles, including code required handicap parking. • Electrical service with sufficient amperage to support Auxiliary Power Unit for helicopter. • Preferred white epoxy floor surface.
