The Calaveras County Health and Human Services Agency is soliciting proposals for a Family Urgent Response System (FURS) for foster caregivers and current or former foster children or youth on a county level. FURS is a coordinated system with county child welfare, probation, and behavioral health agencies designed to provide collaborative and timely in-home, in-person mobile response on a 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (24/7/365) basis during situations of instability for purposes of preserving the relationship of the caregiver and the child or youth, providing developmentally appropriate relationship conflict management and resolution skills, stabilizing the living situation, mitigating distress of the caregiver or child or youth, connecting the caregiver and child or youth to the exiting array of local service, and promoting a healthy and healing environment for children, youth, and families.
