Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Montrose is requesting bids through the Request for Proposals (RFP) process to solicit proposals from Early Childhood Education (ECE) center operators to operate a childcare facility located at 703 S. 9th Street in Montrose, Colorado. There is an existing ±4,200 square foot building on site that is in the process of being repurposed as an ECE center. The City desires a center and curriculum based on best practices and designed to expand children’s learning by engaging them in different activities and provide experiences that enrich and enhance each child’s cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and creative development. Within the center’s daily schedule, it is expected that each child has opportunities to create and explore his/her environment, learn problem solving, practice personal interaction skills and absorb concepts through first-hand experiences.
