1. ANNUALTESTING/INSPECTION SERVICES a) Testing and inspection of all extinguishers shall be performed at least annually. The duration of time between services shall not exceed 365 calendar days and shall include the following: b) Visual examination of the exterior container and valve assembly and any hose/nozzle. c) Dismantling, testing, drying. d) Replacing any malfunctioning parts, seals and any needed cartridge. e) Sealing, pressurizing to appropriate stored pressure rating/weight and attaching current inspection tag compliant with NFPA 10. 2. ANNUAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES a) Annual fire extinguisher maintenance is divided into three segments, each segment correlates with Officer shifts (i.e., AM, PM, NOC). The AM extinguishers are serviced in the first segment – September through December; the PM extinguishers are serviced in the second segment – January through April; and, the NOC extinguishers are serviced in the third segment – May through August.
