• Review the City’s benefits (i.e. health, dental, vision, prescription drug and wellness programs including COBRA and EAP services, life and LTD insurance) and assess opportunities for improvements in cost savings and services provided. • Provide the City with unbiased professional guidance regarding the most advantageous information concerning insurance markets from the standpoint of cost, service and coverage. • Provide technical assistance to reduce the overall cost of providing these benefits through a variety of means including developing effective negotiations strategies to expeditiously reduce the absolute cost of insurance benefits. • Provide assistance and make recommendations in the selection and implementation of new programs and/or changes to existing programs.
