Base Bid: Modernization of the two Passenger Elevators, excluding the cab finishes; and modernization of the one Loading Dock Service Elevator, with select cab finishes. Alternate 1: Modernization of the Ceramics Shop Service Elevator. Alternate 1A: New finishes and lighting for Ceramics Shop Service Elevator. Finishes consist of clean and re-paint interior surfaces, and new LED lighting. Alternate 2: New interior cab finishes and lighting for the two Passenger Elevators. Refer to section 143810, 2.05 consisting of new plastic laminate and stainless-steel panels, new ceiling, new LED lighting, stainless steel handrails. Provide stainless steel protective pad hooks and one set of fire-retardant pads. EXISTING CONDITIONS A. The elevators involved with this project are: Two (2) 3000 lb. Passenger elevators in the Main Lobby serving floors 2, 3 and 4 (3 stops). Cab size is approximately 5’-9 D x 6’-0” W x 8’-0” T. These have a single motor operated door. One (1) 4000 lb. Loading Dock service elevator serving floors 1, 1.5, 2, 3/3R, 4, and 5 (6 stops). Cab size is approximately 10’-0” D x 7’-8” W x 9’-0” T. This elevator has a motor operated door on both ends. One (1) 1500 lb. Ceramics Shop service elevator serving floors G, M, and 1 (3 stops). Cab size is approximately 6’-0” D x 4’-7” W x 8’-0” T. This elevator has manual horizontal sliding gates and manual horizontal sliding doors on both ends. B. The existing Passenger and Loading Dock elevators are Otis units, and the Ceramics Shop elevator is a Haughton unit.
