Media Training Workshop Conduct a training for a maximum of ten (10) RTA staff, including executives, subject matter experts, and the communications team on effective media messaging, handling difficult questions, developing talking points, and oncamera presentation skills. Deliverable: Equip RTA personnel with skills to communicate effectively with journalists and the public. 2. Mock Interviews Conduct mock interview sessions with a maximum of five (5) RTA staff, simulating various real-world media interactions, including for print, television, and radio. Participants will receive constructive feedback to enhance communication techniques. Deliverable: Confidence-building, clarity of message, and handling challenging or sensitive topics during media engagements. 3. Crisis Communication Training Work with RTA Communications team leaders and no more than three (3) members of RTA senior leadership team to prepare staff to handle media interactions during crisis situations, ensuring message consistency and transparency. Deliverable: Equip key personnel with skills to manage communications during crises, emergencies, or public controversies. 4. Media Relations Guidelines Draft guidelines for RTA staff to follow when interacting with media outlets, including protocols for handling media inquiries, interview requests, and spokesperson designation. Deliverable: Establish clear processes for engaging with journalists to ensure consistent and accurate information is communicated. 5. Messaging Critique/Feedback Work with RTA Communications and Government Affairs Departments’ staff to polish, hone, and improve RTA’s core messages, using multiple sources, including feedback gained from focus groups conducted under a separate contract to ensure messages resonate with different target audiences. Deliverable: Enable participants to create structured, audience-tailored messaging for interviews and public statements. 6. Ongoing Support Provide training materials and documentation for participants to refer to after the training, and offer follow-up consultation or refresher sessions, if needed.
