Services will include actively targeting and recruiting new retail businesses and restaurants into the community. A strategy will be launched in conjunction with an overall strategic planning and marketing campaign. Specifically, this retail and restaurant recruitment strategy will: • Identify and evaluate priority commercial properties for development, redevelopment, and highest and best use opportunities. • Identify priority business categories for recruitment and/or local expansion. • Generate a target list of retailers and restaurants (minimum of 30). • Identify market retail trade area using political boundaries, drive times, and radii and custom boundary geographies. • Perform market and retail GAP analysis for trade area. • Facilitate connections with potential retailers and restaurants.
