III. SCOPE OF WORK/SPECIFICATIONS The purpose of this solicitation is to solicit bids from qualified vendors to manage and maintain all turf areas within the USCA and First Tee of Aiken Golf Facility. This includes a First Tee of Aiken practice facility and 9-hole short course and a USC Aiken driving range, putting green, short game area and common grassed area located at 1208 Gregg Highway, Graniteville, SC 29829. SCOPE OF WORK General Conditions and Performance: 1. Provide daily management and care of all turf areas including but not limited to mowing, irrigation, fertilization, overseeding, and all necessary practices to maintain greens, tees, sand bunkers and surrounding turf and daily leaf and debris removal. 2. Contractor will provide all labor, material, equipment, and fuel to meet responsibilities. Turf supplies include but are not limited to fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides, pest elimination including mole crickets, fire ants, etc., weed pre-emergent and post emergent applications, aeration, top dress mix, over-seed, lime applications, sand, feed, growth inhibitor, accelerators, etc. 3. Contractor to supply and maintain all necessary equipment to properly manage turf and greens including but not limited to greens mowers, fairway mowers, carts, trucks, blowers, rotary mowers, top spreaders, sprayers, broadcast spreaders, weed trimmers, etc. The contractor is responsible for all maintenance and calibration of equipment to maintain optimum performance. The Contractor will have access to the storage facilities for storage of equipment and material if needed. The contractor and USCA representative will agree on a location to store the contractor fuel tank if needed. 4. Contractor will maintain common grassy areas that are not part of the playing turf but within the USC Aiken Golf Facility property. Turf shall be maintained according to species and variety of grass with no more than 1/3 of the grass blade removed by cutting: Lawns with predominately Bermudagrass 1 ½ to 2 inches Lawns with predominately Centipedegrass 1 ½ to 2 inches Lawns with predominately St. Augustine 2 ½ - 3 inches Overseeded Lawns (except sports fields) 2 – 2 ½ inches
