A. Facilitate the update of the ND State Literacy Plan 1. Provide researched content, professional redesign, and layout updates to the current ND State Literacy Plan. Research content must be evidence-based and support best practices across all age bands, from birth through grade 12. Layout and design should promote usability for a variety of stakeholders. This should include a visually appealing format that is relevant to the content. The information and visuals must be ADA-compliant and not infringe on copyright law. 2. Ensure all content aligns with the SoR and North Dakota law and supports the ND CLIMBS goals and assurances. 3. Collaborate with the STATE ND CLIMBS administrative team on the plan's content and design, meeting STATE publication standards. Providing adequate drafting and revision processes and the necessary shared workspace platform and tools. 4. Facilitate input from the ND State Literacy Team, targeted focus groups, and public comment processes. 5. Ensure that the resources developed meet accessibility guidelines for publication on the NDDPI website. 6. Provide editable digital files for online and print-ready versions of the complete, updated literacy plan. 7. Develop a protocol for future annual review of the literacy plan with the state literacy team for updates that the ND CLSD administrative team can lead. B. Develop and publish an asynchronous online professional learning course to guide local literacy teams through the development of a local literacy plan. The course must be developed and published on the ND Educational Hub Canvas platform. The course design and content become the property of ND DPI with no expiration on use for ND users. Following development, the course will be facilitated by NDDPI assigned staff.
