Operations Managing all clubhouse operations, including but not limited to: pro shop operations, starter and marshal services, off-season golf membership sales, food and beverage, banquets, tournaments, instructional programming, and special events. Operate snack/food and beverage concessionaire services according to the regularly scheduled hours. At least one employee must be a Certified Food Safety Manager and all other employees involved in the preparation, storage, or service of food and beverage must obtain a Food Handler Card. Maintain all rules and regulations regarding alcohol licensure. This includes Serve-Safe or TIPS courses for all staff serving alcohol and the completion of monthly alcohol sales reports delivered to the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director and the Brookings City Clerk. Reports must be submitted by the 15th of each month for the previous month’s reporting. Purchasing merchandise for the pro shop; any logoed merchandise must adhere to the design standards set forth by the City of Brookings, South Dakota. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health, business, and alcohol licensing requirements. Recreation Programming, Promotions and Marketing Employing a PGA/LPGA Class “A” Professional (or equivalent) on the premises for a minimum of 40 hours per week (May through September). Maintain and develop golf instruction programs, with special emphasis on the development of junior golf instruction programs, as well as First Tee, also address other efforts to attract new golfers of all ages and demographics. Maintain and establish leagues, tournaments, in-house golf clubs, golf course policy manuals, and a junior golf program. Maintain a positive working relationship with community groups such as the Chamber of Commerce, First Tee and the City of Brookings. Coordinate with the golf course maintenance team and Parks, Recreation and Forestry for tournaments, events, and special promotions. Effectively and aggressively market Edgebrook Golf Course and on-site recreation programs and events. Janitorial and Building Ensure high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and overall facility upkeep. Support and communicate assistance as needed for buildings, equipment, and facilities, including the Clubhouse, Pro Shop, cart barns, golf course restrooms, Point of Sale systems, alarms, phones, communication systems, and related storage areas to Parks, Recreation and Forestry staff in a timely manner.
